4K Blu-ray Review: Dust Bunny

Synopsis: When 10-year-old Aurora needs help killing the monster she believes ate her family, she hires her hit man neighbor (Mads Mikkelsen). Suspecting the girl's parents may have fallen victim to hit men gunning for him, Aurora's neighbor guiltily takes the job. To protect Aurora, he'll need to contend with an onslaught of assassins, a mysterious associate with killer heels (Sigourney Weaver), and accept that some monsters are real in this inventive feature directorial debut from creator Bryan Fuller.

Main Feature: Bryan Fuller is as cooky and weird as they come but with a dense, diverse and subversive approach to the material. His TV adaptation Hannibal about the famed Dr. Lecter remains some of the single most unheralded episodic work on television (broadcast or otherwise) in history, providing a unique angle on one of fiction's greatest film and book characters ever. He brought the same style and mindset to the novel idea (no pun intended) of the TV adaptation for American Gods. Dust bunny is imperfect and is one definitely in his lane. The final product isn't exactly one to write home about, but having Mads Mikkelsen tag along for as close as we will get for a Hannibal reboot/reunion is worth the price. I can see this finding a cult following, but time will tell. 

Bonus Features:  few short featurettes/interviews with trailers and a digital code make the extras brief and basic. 

Final Call: Dust bunny is as eclectic as its creator. While it's tangled, it's still worth pulling out and brushing off for a fun time.
