Synopsis: George Bailey has so many problems he is thinking about ending it all - and it's Christmas! As the angels discuss George, we see his life in flashback. As George is about to jump from a bridge, he ends up rescuing his guardian angel, Clarence - who then shows George what his town would have looked like if it hadn't been for all his good deeds over the years.
Main Feature: "While it has been a holiday staple in many homes over the decades, "It's a Wonderful Life" was not the one in mine. In fact, it took me many years to be able to see it completely all the way through. Now, in my wiser years, I can fully appreciate the message of hope and hospitality to your fellow man. Plus, of the recent 4K releases I have had the opportunity to view, this is by far the absolutely most splendid to look at. With the appropriate amount of grain and extreme vibrant frame detail, Frank Capra's classic has never looked more stunning. Enough can not be said about this release, and how much I love it.

Bonus Features: The extras are the only department lacking. Besides a few carryovers from previous Blu-ray releases and a digital redemption code, there isn't much to speak of. It is nice to see film experts and historians talk about Capra's legacy. A little strange for a Paramount exec to be hosting a 13-minute special feature, but since it is about the restoration of the film, it gets a pass.

Final Call: "It's a Wonderful Life" is a classic for sure, the richest one in the UHD town.

Grade: A-
