Wizard World 2019 showed Chicago there's still some magic left

Wizard World Chicago landed for 2019's show a few weeks ago. While the wattage of stars has dwindled, this year still showcased some magical appearances.
Originally slated to appear was Jason Mamoa, but he had to cancel. Who do they get to make up for that? Nabbing Jeff Goldblum, John Travolta and Zachary Levi, that's who!

The diverse, stacked list of guests dwindles a bit after that. My biggest qualm with Wizard World has been that it got too big. If it can get back to basics, to it's roots and humble beginnings, then they will certainly have a reboot like no other, especially since Ace Comic-Con is impeding on WW's territory by having it's next Chicago show in Rosemont come October.

That aside, the convention was full of fun and fandom. Travolta had packed panel, but took no questions from fans. Given my past experiences doing interviews for movies, this felt more like a junket appearance to promote his film The Fanatic. But Goldblum was his usual charming, quirky self, fielding questions from fans. One pointed one: "Why do you take your glasses off and toss them when you're visiting Conan O'Brien?" He seemed to have a blast, standing for the majority of his panel, wanted to bounce around and take in the people.

As always, plenty of cosplay. Check out our photos below that include some of our faves. Also stay tuned for our interviews with WWE's Lilian Garcia and Fantastic Beasts actor Dan Fogler!
